TubeRipple uses YouTube API Services to provide its core functionality. When you use TubeRipple to analyze channels, videos, or search for trending content, public YouTube data is accessed and retrieved through the YouTube Data API v3 in accordance with Google and YouTube Developer Policies.

We encourage you to review the Google Privacy Policy to understand how Google processes and protects information.

2Information We Access, Collect, and Store

TubeRipple accesses and collects the following categories of data:

A. Public YouTube Channel Data: Channel ID, title, custom URL / @handle, channel description, profile thumbnail URL, banner image URL, country, creation date, public subscriber count (unless hidden by the channel owner), total view count, total video count, and public uploads playlist ID.

B. Public YouTube Video Data: Video ID, title, description, publication date and time, video thumbnail URLs, duration, category ID, tags (where provided), public view count, like count, comment count, and public engagement metrics.

3How We Use YouTube Data

YouTube data is used exclusively to provide and improve TubeRipple features:

  • Calculating channel performance baselines using robust statistical medians to prevent viral skew.
  • Evaluating relative performance multipliers of newly published videos against channel baselines.
  • Detecting significant breakout candidates and outlier content patterns.
  • Enabling creators to monitor their self-selected competitor channels and analyze upload frequency.
  • Providing data-driven observations on why specific content performs well.

TubeRipple does NOT sell, rent, monetize, or transfer YouTube data to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or data aggregators.

4Data Storage, Security, and Retention Policy

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encrypted connections, secure server hosting, and strict access controls.

Cache & Freshness Policy: In compliance with YouTube API Developer Policies, YouTube data is stored only as long as necessary to calculate analytics, growth baselines, and reduce redundant API requests. Core channel metadata is cached for up to 60 minutes, statistics for up to 30 minutes, and historical snapshots are captured at controlled intervals (minimum 6 hours apart) to track growth trends accurately.

Stored cached data is refreshed regularly or purged when no longer required or upon user request.

If you have connected your YouTube account or granted TubeRipple permissions through Google OAuth, you have the right to revoke TubeRipple's access to your data at any time.
